Jim Brennan, LMT, LPTA, CRP, CPP

Jim graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at
NorthShore Community College in 1995, with an Associate degree in
Science. He received his Physical Therapist Assistant license in 1996.
The PTA program at NSCC has a strong and in-depth focus
towards understanding the multiple aspects of the human body in its
muscoskeletal functions. Anatomy and physiology are the basis of all
that we are and all that we do every day. Included in the
curriculum is also an in-depth study of Neurology, Kinesiology (
motion ) as well as therapeutic exercises geared towards rehabilitation
post injury or surgery. Jim has found that, through working with
hundreds of people, we are all in some way in need of physical
re-tuning from time to time.
His subsequent work in physical therapy rekindled his interest in massage, energy work and holistic healing.
In September 1997, He achieved his certification as a REIKI I
practitioner and began including it in his healing sessions. During
that time Jim felt a stronger sense of and draw towards a deeper
understanding of REIKI. In September of 1998 he achieved his REIKI II
certification.
Jim completed the Holistic Massage Career program at the
Polarity Realization Institute in Ipswich, Massachusetts in June
of 2000. He focused on Therapeutic/Sports and Deep Tissue massage as
well as Polarity therapy.
Jim received his Massachusetts massage license in October of
2000, his National Certification in May of 2002 and his Rhode Island
massage license in June 2002.
Jim has practiced at Brookline Newton Whole health (Chestnut
Hill, MA), The Boston Sports club (Danvers, MA), Jewish Community
Center (Providence, RI). Healy Physical Therapy (East Providence, RI),
YMCA (Kent County) and then opened his own practice in 2004 in
Richmond Square (Providence, RI). In June of 2007 the Jewish Community Center invited Jim
to move his business into their fitness facility and he started
operating solely out of the JCCRI in August of 2007.
